Can You Have Intercourse During Ovulation Stimulation? The Answer Is:

During ovulation stimulation, whether a woman can have intercourse depends on the purpose of the stimulation. As the stimulation progresses, more eggs may develop and increase in size. Normally, eggs grow until the diameter of the follicle (the sac surrounding the egg) reaches 18-20 mm, as measured via ultrasound. This is when the egg is considered mature, and ovulation typically occurs 36-48 hours after reaching this size.

So, while a woman can have intercourse during ovulation stimulation, if intercourse does not occur on the day of ovulation, it would be like having intercourse without the timing of fertilization in mind.

In summary, if a woman is undergoing ovulation stimulation and has intercourse, it should be done before egg retrieval or 5-7 days before ovulation.
