Consult doctor
When you start feeling the need to consult a doctor about having a baby, we recommend contacting us to schedule a free consultation.
At this stage, if you have any previous surgical or medical examination reports, please bring them with you so the doctor can provide the best possible care.
If you have never had a medical check-up, you can inform our staff and undergo a preliminary examination before meeting the doctor. Once the results are available, the doctor will review them and determine the appropriate course of treatment. We strongly recommend having medical check-up results before meeting the doctor.
At this stage, you will receive:
-
A treatment plan from the doctor outlining the recommended method
-
Information about treatment costs
-
Guidance on payment options (Treatment packages allow installment payments at different stages, meaning you only pay as you proceed)
* Since we are a medical facility, all treatments and procedures will depend on each patient’s condition. After receiving advice from the doctor, you are free to take time to decide. We do not engage in hard selling.
Start the process on the first day of your period
Every fertility treatment begins on the first day of a woman's period.
For IVF-ICSI (In Vitro Fertilization-Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), please contact the clinic as soon as your period starts. If it occurs outside of our operating hours, kindly leave a message, and our team will get back to you the following day.
If you haven't had your
The clinic will confirm your treatment plan with the doctor and will reach out to you to provide the details. Once you have a clear understanding of your treatment plan, you will begin hormone stimulation injections as prescribed, which typically last about 10 to 13 days.
Monitoring
During the ovarian stimulation phase, the doctor will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor how your ovaries are responding to the stimulation medication. This typically involves at least two monitoring visits, depending on your treatment plan.
Egg Retrieval and Sperm Collection
Once the eggs have reached the appropriate number and size determined by the doctor, you will be scheduled for egg retrieval and sperm collection.
During this procedure, the woman will receive anesthesia for egg retrieval. Our staff will provide instructions on how to prepare, including fasting (no food or drink) before the procedure.
On the same day, the male partner will also need to provide a sperm sample. He should follow the doctor's instructions regarding abstinence from ejaculation prior to collection.
ICSI and Embryo Culture
Once the eggs and sperm have been collected from the patient, the laboratory will separate and assess their quality. The fertilization process will then be performed using the ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) technique. The results will be closely monitored by specialized embryologists until the embryos reach the blastocyst stage (5-day embryos, which is the strongest stage for transfer).
Chromosome Testing
Once the embryos reach the blastocyst stage, the patient will need to make a decision in consultation with the doctor regarding whether or not to undergo chromosome testing, as there is a limited timeframe for this.
Benefits of Chromosome Testing
-
Detects chromosomal abnormalities across all 23 pairs
-
Prevents conditions such as Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, and cleft lip/palate
If the decision is made to proceed with testing, specialized embryologists will take a cell sample from the embryo for testing. The results typically take about 7 to 14 days.
Embryo Freezing
Once the embryos reach the blastocyst stage, they cannot survive outside the human body for more than 5 days. Therefore, they need to be frozen to be transferred during the next menstrual cycle.
The number of embryos to be frozen should be a decision made together by the patient and the doctor, based on the patient's individual circumstances and treatment plan.
Preparing for Embryo Transfer
In the month when the patient is ready for pregnancy, when the first day of the period begins, they should contact the clinic immediately to start taking medications to prepare the uterine lining for embryo transfer, as per the doctor's treatment plan.
Embryo transfer
For the embryo transfer, the doctor will provide guidance on which embryo to select to maximize the chances of pregnancy. As for the embryo transfer procedure, anesthesia is not required. After the transfer, the patient will rest at the clinic for about 2 hours before being discharged.
Post-Embryo Transfer Instructions
After Embryo Transfer
The doctor recommends that patients can return to their normal daily activities but should avoid strenuous exercise. Some treatment plans may include additional medications to support the body or may require further follow-up appointments for detailed monitoring.
